It is a technologically sophisticated system with a special design that allows constant patient observation and timely intervention to prevent complications. The Dialysis Unit is made up of 28 dialysis stations, 22 hemodialysis and 6 peritoneal dialysis stations.
Dialysis is a life-saving procedure for patients whose kidneys are not working properly, in which excess water and waste products are removed from the body. In hemodialysis, blood is drawn out through a tube in the patient’s arm into a special machine which filters the blood and pumps it back into the body. This procedure can last several hours, during which a patient’s entire blood courses through the machine numerous times. In peritoneal dialysis, the space inside the abdomen called the ‘peritoneal cavity’ is used for dialysis.

Plastic surgery is not only cosmetic, but involves much more of reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, from breast reconstruction to craniomaxillofacial and microsurgery. The surgery engages redistribution and transfer of tissue from one part of the body to another and sometime from one person to another. Plastic Surgery stems from the Greek term PLASTIKOS meaning mould. This form of surgery requires innovation to enable enhancement in both function and appearance of a person changing their lives and re-establishing the lost confidence.

At VAGUS the team of expert specialists work on reconstructive surgery encompassing Fingers and Hand Reimplantations, Paediatric Thumb Reimplantation, Toe to Thumb Transfers and Brachial Plexus/Nerve Surgeries.

However, the Department specialises in cosmetic cures. Dermatological conditions like Psoriasis and Vitiligo, other specialised treatments like acne scars and tattoo removal along with birthmarks and moles are also cosmetically removed.
